How I use your information
Itchen Studio is a one-person web design business run by Sam, based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. I'm responsible for the personal information described here. If you have any questions, email hello@itchenstudio.co.uk.
If you use the form on this website
I collect your name, business name, email address and, if you give them, your phone number, a link to your current website or profile, and your message. I use them to reply to you, build your free mock-up and, if you'd like, prepare a quote. I do this because you've asked me to, which the law calls taking steps at your request before a contract.
If I've contacted you first
I research local businesses using information they've published themselves: business websites, directory listings such as Checkatrade, and public reviews. I use it to build a mock-up website and to contact the business about it. I do this on the basis of legitimate interests: offering a relevant service to a local business, using only business contact details that are already public. If you'd rather I didn't contact you again, just say so and I'll delete your details and won't get in touch again.
Who else handles it
- Web3Forms passes messages from the website form to my inbox.
- Google Workspace hosts my email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep it secure.
I don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a client, I keep invoices and related records for six years, because the tax rules require it.
